Brian Kuh

Brian is a senior foreman for WPX who specialized in all aspects of water management in the booming Permian Basin, including water recycling projects, logistics and infrastructure construction for the company.

WPX is a $10 billion energy producer with decades of drilling inventory in the Permian’s Delaware Basin where the company has approximately 130,000 net acres under lease.

Brian joined WPX in late 2017, developing a plan to increase WPX’s local water recycling from 5% of total volume to over 50% for future well completions.

He also is the Vice President of the Permian Basin Water Management Council, a member of the advisory board for Shale Play Water Management, and has a personal interest in nature, wildlife, conservation, land management & ranching.

He began working in water management at Devon Energy where he played an integral role in their startup of recycling produced water.

He coordinated the construction of the first treated-water impoundments that were approved in N.M. following a revision to Rule 34 governing produced water recycling.

Immediately prior to WPX, Brian was a water management consultant with clients including Matador Resources and other private equity startups.
