We offer medical and dental options, an employee assistance program, health discounts and reimbursements and a health care flexible spending account.

You’ll find incentive programs that promote health, wellness and work-life balance. Plus, the company offers income protection in case of illness or injury through company-paid disability coverage.

MEDICAL

Generally, WPX pays 80 percent of overall health costs for our employees. We have four medical options to choose from:

  • Core Option
  • Out-of-Area Option
  • $1000 Deductible Plan
  • High Deductible Health Plan

The WPX medical plans do not exclude coverage for a pre-existing condition, and all employees are eligible for health and group benefits upon their hire date with the company.

VISION 

The WPX Vision plan is offered through UnitedHealthcare Vision.

DENTAL

The WPX Dental plan is offered through CIGNA and even offers adult orthodontic coverage.

RETIREMENT

The WPX Energy Savings Plan, the company’s 401(k) plan, features both matching and fixed company contributions. WPX will match employee contributions dollar for dollar up to 6 percent of eligible pay and provide an annual company fixed contribution of 6 percent for employees under 40 and 8 percent for employees age 40 and older – regardless of whether they contribute individually.

EMPLOYEE STOCK PURCHASE PLAN

The WPX Energy ESPP offers employees the ability to purchase WPX Energy stock at a discount using after-tax payroll deductions.

TIME OFF AND HOLIDAYS

Everyone needs time to refresh and revitalize. The company offers a Paid Time Off (PTO) bank at the beginning of each year for employees. The amount offered is based on service time with WPX. Employees also receive two floating holidays each year in addition to normal calendar holidays.

WELLNESS

WPX encourages good nutrition, physical fitness and health assessments. You can reduce your current health premiums through WPX Vitality wellness program if you take certain actions to stay healthy and prevent future health problems.

PARKING

What’s better than passing go and collecting $200? Free parking. In Tulsa, Denver and Washington, D.C., employees used to have to pay to park. Not anymore. Plus, WPX pays for the EcoPass in Denver, bus pass in Tulsa or Metropass in D.C.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

WPX offers adoption assistance, educational assistance, no-cost contraceptives, an employee assistance program and opportunities to support your favorite cause or non-profit through matching gifts.

WPX was one of many local businesses that supported The Challenge Program during the 2012-2013 school year in Westmoreland County high schools in Pennsylvania. The program partners with businesses to motivate high school students to excel, while introducing them to careers in their local area. Pictured at left is our own WPX Energy External Affairs staff, Tara Howey, along with representatives from other local businesses and community organizations.
