2017 Heart Walk

100 companies participated in this year's Heart Walk. WPX ranked third in fundraising, but that's before any of our matching gifts hit the books. This is our highest finish ever.

550 teams were represented among the 100 companies. Two of WPX's teams finished No. 2 and No. 3 in total fundraising among the 550 teams.

  • Our Williston Basin Team raised more than $19,200, taking second place.
  • Our San Juan Juan Team raised $14,700, taking third place.
  • Our Permian Basin Team raised $8,700, outpacing more than 80 companies.

Our 2017 giving is more than double what we did last year.  This year's success sets a new standard at WPX and is our biggest campaign to date.

Kevinn Matthews, Mackenzie Johnston, Grant Johnson and Sam Shiverick led our 2017 campaign. In 2018, our Chief Operating Officer Clay Gaspar leads the entire city-wide Heart Walk campaign.

WPX’s Top three fundraisers in 2016 were Ginny Strickland, Roger Meyer and Dee Blackwelder.
